An aesthetic approach of varicose vein surgery
Pre and postoperative procedure
The tumescent local anesthesia and intussusception
The Doppler-Ultrasound
The minimally invasive varicose surgery
SOME IMPORTANT RULES
- today's surgery "does not tear out the vein but gently removes it,
- the vascular surgeon must have a great experience of all these new techniques
- he must also have experience of local anesthesia by tumescence.
This surgeon should as far as possible be a specialized vascular surgeon operating only varicose veins. Today surgeons are increasingly specialized in a single pathology. Either varicose vein surgery, hand surgery or foot surgery.
- "We only do well what we do often and especially if we do one thing". The stripping that pulls the vein should not be practiced today (Dr. Gabriel LASRY has abandoned it for more than 20 years).
